The menu at Nyko's Restaurant On Scalp is a perfect blend of classic American diner favorites and unique specialties. Breakfast is served all day, making it a great spot no matter what time you find yourself craving some eggs, pancakes, or a breakfast sandwich. The scrambled eggs are always cooked to perfection, fluffy yet flavorful, and paired with crispy bacon or sausage, they're a great way to start the day. And if you’re in the mood for something a little different, their French toast is a fan favorite-thick, golden-brown slices dusted with powdered sugar and served with a side of syrup that’s just the right balance of sweetness.

For lunch and dinner, Nyko's Restaurant On Scalp offers a variety of hearty options. The burgers are consistently a hit, with perfectly seasoned patties served on a fresh, soft bun, and topped with all the fixings you’d expect from a top-tier diner. If you're not in the mood for a burger, the sandwiches are equally impressive, with the grilled chicken sandwich being a standout. Tender chicken breast, fresh veggies, and a tangy sauce make this sandwich something to savor with each bite.

The real star of the menu, however, might be their homemade meatloaf. It’s one of those dishes that feels like it came straight from Grandma’s kitchen. The moist, flavorful meatloaf is served with mashed potatoes and gravy that pair together perfectly, making it a filling and comforting meal. This dish alone has earned Nyko's Restaurant On Scalp a loyal following, with many locals swearing by it as the best comfort food in town.

For those who enjoy a variety of flavors, the daily specials are always a treat. They feature rotating dishes based on fresh, seasonal ingredients, giving regular patrons something new to look forward to each time they visit. And if you’re a fan of good old-fashioned diner pies, don’t miss the homemade pies offered for dessert. The cherry pie is particularly delicious, with a perfect balance of tart and sweet, encased in a flaky, buttery crust.

I ate there for the first time today. The steak I got was absolutely delicious and was cooked perfectly. I am not a sushi fan, but most of our party got different types and loved them all. It's not cheap but well worth the price. Fantastic!

This was my first time ever coming here and let me tell you it's one of the best places to get sushi, I forgot what our waitress's name was but she was the best waitress I have ever seen. She was very helpful with the menu and she was eager to make a conversation The sushi there was outstanding Don't let the prices scare you. It is well worth the visit.

My wife and I went here for sushi after a recommendation from a co-worker. Nice place. Very clean, relaxing and calm atmosphere. Kind of a ma and pa vib. Not the place I would consider for sushi, however the sushi options were extensive. They had some very unique house rolls that were rather tasty. All the ingredients looked and tasted fresh. Will definitely be coming back. The rolls we ordered were three Johnstown, Red Dragon, Gladiator, white mountain, long Island, and dynamite.

Nyko’s will always be my favorite restaurant in Johnstown. The sushi is amazing, service is always good, the room with the brick is beautiful, and the takeout is just as good as dining in.

Love this place. Some of the best food I've had especially the sushi. I like the specialty rolls with the Gladiator being my favorite. But there are many tasty options. Be careful asking for extra hot. David the owner may use hos home grown ghost pepper. They also make great crabcakes, pastas and steaks with the rack of lamb being another favorite. Nice servers are nice and David will stop and chat for awhile. Desert is a good way to finish your meal. They also have a full bar.

We were hungry for sushi and this place showed up. Good food, ok portions for the money. My wife is Hawaiian born and raised so the sushi was judged lol Only thing she liked that we got was the tuna. My lobster raviolis we're a bit salty.. Bring some cash if you go and want to eat, we spent $132 on just dinner for two (no drinks) Nice place tho, give it a try.
